Make sure to give them plenty of notice and maybe even make some calls to colleagues to see if any are hiring. Insurance & Regulations

In addition to patients, employees and vendors, you will need to have a conversation with your insurance provider. Determine the best course of action for insurance going forward and set yourself up right for the future. You will also need to contact your medical boards to inform them of your impending retirement.

Office Space

Last, but not least, you’ll need to deal with your office space. If you lease the space, it’s as simple as informing your landlord that you will be leaving. If you own the facility and land, then you’ll need to work with a realtor to put it up on the marker—if you choose to do so. After that’s dealt with, you will need to determine what to do with the contents of your space. That includes, tables, desks, chairs, and medical equipment.
